Austin Durrer is Vice President of Business Development & Strategy at Moran Global Strategies, Inc., located in Washington, D.C. Since establishing the firm with former Congressman Jim Moran in 2023, he has provided a wide range of advisory and government relations services. The firm has a diverse array of clients, with a particular specialization in the defense and technology sectors.

Mr. Durrer is a veteran of Capitol Hill, serving as Chief of Staff for two prominent Members of Congress on the powerful Appropriations Committee. Durrer worked in the Obama administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he helped lead the Department's big data strategy under then Secretary Penny Pritzker.

A double major in political science and economics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mr. Durrer received his MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He is also a member of the National Defense Industrial Association and the Congressional Chiefs of Staff Association.
